(COLUMBUS) - Local law enforcement dealt with a strange incident early Sunday morning in downtown Columbus.
Lieutenant Matt Harris, public information officer with the Columbus Police Department, says officers were called to the corner of 4th and Washington Streets after a report of a man who was screaming.
As police approached 37-year-old Joshua England of Columbus, officers say they noticed he was slurring his words and had trouble maintaining his balance.
England was arrested, but not without a struggle. England kicked an officer as he was being loaded into the police car and kicked a female jail officer at the Bartholomew County Jail.
England is facing charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, and battery on a law enforcement officer.
