(DUBOIS CO.) - The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department is warning the public about a phone scam where the caller claims to be from the sheriff’s department and informs the intended victim there is a warrant for their arrest.
The sheriff's department says it does sometimes call in reference to warrants, but does not ask for personal information or money.
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from the sheriff's department and have concerns, hang up and call the Dubois County Sheriff's Department at (812) 482-3522.
