(MONROE CO.) - After approximately 24 hours of searching, emergency crews have located 71-year-old George Kuntz of Indianapolis after he went squirrel hunting and got lost in the Hoosier National Forest.
Police say Kuntz was thirsty but in good health when he was reunited with his family around 11 a.m. this morning.
Indiana Conservation Officers, Hoosier National Forest Personnel and Perry-Clear Creek Firemen began looking for Kuntz after he went squirrel hunting on Sunday morning and didn't return back to his campsite.
Concerned family members contacted DNR Law Enforcement, and a search was started. The search was focused near Brook's Cabin, where Kuntz's truck was located.
The area was searched overnight by emergency personnel on foot, by Indiana State Police helicopter and Wayne Township Fire Department drone.
