(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested on Sunday after police say he smacked a pregnant woman in the face.
Bedford Police arrested 33-year-old Robert Foddrill on a felony charge of domestic battery resulting in bodily injury to a pregnant woman. He is being held on a $2,005 cash or $20,000 surety bond.
Police received a 911 call at 11 a.m. from the woman saying Foddrill had been drinking and had gotten physical with her.
Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore says that when police arrived at the home in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue they found Foddrill and the woman outside of the home arguing.
The woman told officers Foddrill had been out all night drinking and got home around 6 a.m. and that is when they began arguing.
During the arguments, Foddrill hit his girlfriend in the face with an open hand, causing bruising to her eye and a cut on the side of her mouth.
