(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested a man Monday night after he allegedly threatened people with a sword at the Crawford II apartment complex on South Henderson Street.
Bloomington Police Department Capt. Steve Kellams says the department received several calls about the man swinging a sword. When officers arrived around 7:54 p.m. they found the man brandishing a sword. He was ordered to drop the sword which he did and then he took off running.
Once caught the man gave police several fake names, telling police he had been in an argument with another man about stolen property and the other man had cut him on the neck with a kitchen knife. But the man had no visible injuries.
Police were finally able to identify 24-year-old Christopher Moen and arrested him on charges of resisting arrest and using false identification. He also had a warrant in Lawrence County.
