(BEDFORD) - The Bedford City Council approved a request lower the speed limit at the roundabout at Lincoln Avenue and John Williams Boulevard.
The Times Mail reports that Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore requested the speed limit be lowered to 20 mph around the roundabout, as well as northbound on Lincoln Avenue at Ninth Street and southbound at Stalker Avenue. The speed eastbound at John Williams Boulevard will reduce to 30 mph at R Street and 20 mph at O Street. It also will be reduced to 20 mph westbound near Norton Avenue.
This reduction in speed was taken on the advice of engineers at the public roundabout information session last month.
