There's Still Time To File For School Board Positions

(UNDATED) - Seven candidates have filed their petitions to run for seats on the North Lawrence Community School Board, but there are still four open seats for the general election on Nov. 6th.

Those running include incumbent Kirsten Collier for District 1; Bob Evans, incumbent Gary Holmes and Gregory Stewart Stevens for District 2; incumbent Beth Ritter for District 3; and incumbent Autumn Ray for District 5.

Incumbent Christopher Shaw has filed to retain his seat District 2 on the Mitchell Community School Board. No one has filed for the second District 2 seat currently held by Cindy Brooking.

Candidates have until noon Aug. 24 to file petitions with 10 signatures and consent forms with the Lawrence County Clerk.
