(JACKSON CO.) - Indiana Department of Transportation officials met with contractor representatives and the design engineer Monday at Seymour District offices to review plans and schedules for replacing three small structures on State Road 258 located between Freetown and Cortland, west of Seymour in Jackson County.
Dave O'Mara, INDOT's prime contractor for this $965,856 project, will clear State Road 258 construction sites in early October to facilitate utility relocations. The North Vernon contractor plans to remove existing culverts and install pre-cast 4-sided concrete box structures--beginning next April--at these locations:
All three culvert sites are in Hamilton Township. Each of the three will require full closure of State Road 258 for up to 30 days. The state's contract allows only one closure to be in effect at a time. All work must be completed by the end of November, 2019.
