(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are investigating a shooting that damaged two cars on Monday afternoon.
Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams says the department received several 911 calls around 5:30 p.m. reporting hearing gunfire near North Lindbergh Drive and West 14th Street.
Police responded and found two vehicles parked on 14th Street to be damaged. A maroon 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK430 had a shattered window and a bullet hole in the driver's side door and a white 2011 Ford Fusion had a shattered back windshield.
They also recovered a .45-caliber shell casing on the ground near the damaged vehicles.
