(LOOGOOTEE) - The 3rd annual Martin County Safe Community Campaign Event will be held on Saturday, September 29th, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at West Boggs Park.
The event is a way the community and its police, fire, and other first responders can come together for a day of fun and information sharing.
One way to unite the community and help others is to team up to provide food items to Martin County area food banks.
Volunteers will be accepting food items and monetary donations throughout the day.
Approximately 12,000 food items, as well as many monetary donations, have been donated by community members during the two previous Safe Community events.
This third annual community event will feature first responders and informational displays from local and state police agencies, EMS, and Fire and Rescue units.
Law enforcement and rescue vehicles will be on display and the gear they use.
The event will be free to the public and will feature several speakers and programs as well as food and door prizes. Please make plans now to show your support for area First Responders and our community.
