(MARTINSVILLE) - A Seymour couple suffered serious injuries after they were involved in a motorcycle accident southwest of Martinsville Sunday afternoon.
According to a Morgan County Sheriff's report, 51-year-old Brian Ingalsbe and his wife, 49-year-old Amber Ingalsbe, were airlifted to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after the accident and are currently in the intensive care unit.
Police say the accident happened on State Road 252 after two vehicles traveling east stopped suddenly in front of a third vehicle on State Road 252.
Brian Ingalsbe attempted to avoid rear-ending the three vehicles when his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle slid and left the roadway throwing both him and his wife off the bike.
Neither were wearing helmets.
According to the police report, Amber Ingalsbe suffered severe head injuries and Brian Ingalsbe suffered significant injuries all over his body.
