Entries Sought For Persimmon Festival Art Show

(MITCHELL) - Entries for the Persimmon Festival Art Show will be received from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22 in the upper level of the Mitchell Community Public Library.

The show will open at 9 a.m. September 24th at the Mitchell Community Public Library

The show is open to all current and former residents of Indiana of post-high school age.

The festival is Sept. 22-29.

Some of the highlights include:

The town-wide yard sale will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.
The baby contest will be held at Burris Elementary School on Saturday, September 22 at 10 a.m.
Mini Miss, Little Miss and Junior Miss Persimmon Pageants will be held at Mitchell High School on Saturday, Sept. 22, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Tri Kappa Candlelight Tour will be Saturday, September 22 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Spring Mill State Park
Community Vesper Service will be held on Sunday, September 23 at 7 p.m. at the Mitchell Opera House
Persimmon Queen Pageant contest will be Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at Mitchell High School
Persimmon Idol will be Tuesday, September 25 from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on the main stage
Grand Parade, Saturday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.
