(BEDFORD) - The Limestone Capital Expo, presented by German American Bank, will take place on Friday, October 5th, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Harp Commons on the downtown square in Bedford.
This FREE interactive expo is open to the general public and runners alike. You don't have to be a part of the race. Anyone can attend and take part of this expo.
Food trucks such as the Lawrence County Barbeque Company will be on site serving tasty foods like smoked chicken sandwiches, nachos, fresh veggies and apples with caramel dip. Various fitness vendors will sell merchandise, conduct demonstrations and provide samples. Loving Heart Studios will provide yoga classes on the lawn and Meg's Massage will give free messages. Stretching demonstrations by Bedford Outpatient Therapy Specialists will also be provided. You can stop by the free reflexology station to receive a free treatment and learn more information on the topic. If you like competition then stop and and take part of the challenges that will be set up. What's a challenge without a prize; you could win prizes like a free pair of shoes, a shoe wallet or $50 gift card ; just to name a few. Various interactive activities, demonstrations, and vendors continue to be added daily.
Another new highlighted feature during the Limestone Capital Expo is a shoe drive. Bring a pair of tennis shoes or running shoes and hang them on the Soles for Souls fence. These shoes will all be kept local and given to various non profit organizations like our local Becky's Place and The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County.
You still have time to register for the Limestone Capital Half Marathon, 5k or 1 mile walk. You can always register on site at Limestone Expo Friday night as well, or register online here. Pre registered runners can pick up their bags, bibs, and tee shirt(s) at the Expo. Interested participants will be able to review the course map and bib list just like last year. Photo opportunities will be available in front of the German American photo backdrop so bring your family and friends.
