(VIGO CO.) - An Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle inspector found an estimated five-million dollars of illegal drugs Tuesday during a routine inspection at the eastbound scales on I-70 in Vigo County.
A search of the vehicle turned up 220-pounds of cocaine and 65-pounds of methamphetamine.
The drugs were found inside the trailer in travel bags.
The tractor-trailer was loaded with aluminum crates and was traveling from California to Ohio.
The driver, 22-year-old Ravninder Singh Kaler of Bakersfield, California, was booked into the Vigo County Jail on felony charges of Dealing Narcotics and Possession of
Narcotics.
