(BEDFORD) - A grant in the amount of $5,000 from Hoosier Uplands as well as a gift from Poorhouse Cafe of Bloomington has purchased a new van for the Bedford Boys Home.
The funding from Hoosier Uplands came from the agency's Community Development and Improvement Program which targets projects that enhance communities.
The Bedford Boys Home provides a positive living environment that meets the emotional, academic, physical and spiritual needs of at-risk youth. Residents of the Boys Home volunteer in the community in multiple ways including nursing homes visits, community cleanup and other community projects.
Hoosier Uplands was honored to assist with the Bedford Boys Home in obtaining reliable transportation for the boys they serve.
