(BEDFORD) - Hoosier Hills Credit Union has named longtime member Jay Brown to its Board of Directors.
Brown, who has been an HHCU member since 1989, has served on the Credit Union's Supervisory Committee since January 2018. In his new role, he is eager to help fulfill the HHCU mission of making a positive difference in members' lives and communities.
"HHCU is a strong leader in the Bedford community and provides financial services that are unmatched," Brown said. "The Credit Union is focused on its members, not on profit, and I am most looking forward to becoming more community involved and being associated with HHCU."
As a member of the Board, Brown will help plan strategic direction, ensure that the Credit Union's mission is carried out, and ensure its safety and soundness.
"We are pleased to have Jay join the Board," said HHCU President and CEO George McNichols. "His enthusiasm for our mission and his familiarity with our services makes him a solid addition to the HHCU leadership team."
A Bedford native, Brown has been employed at Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center for more than 38 years. He and his wife, Lori, have three children and eight grandchildren.
