(NEEDMORE) - A Needmore woman was arrested Sunday after police were called to a home in the 100 block of Old Needmore School Road after a report of a battery.
When police arrived they spoke to an adult female victim.
"The victim stated she arrived at the home to visit at which time 32-year-old Trista Gipson exited the home and approached the victim's vehicle and began hitting and kicking the vehicle," says Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults.
A child and the victim got out of the vehicle.
"The victim was then struck in the head by Miss Gipson with a closed fist," Chief Deputy Shoults added. "The victim suffered bruising to the side of her face and scratches. She did not require medical attention at the scene."
Police found Gipson in the home and she was arrested on a charge of domestic battery and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
