(WASHINGTON CO.) - An autopsy determined a Campbellsburg man whose body was found in a duffel bag under a mobile home showed no signs of trauma.
A coroner could not determine a cause of death of 22-year-old Jacob Ray Dodson. Toxicology test results are pending and usually take up to six to eight weeks to return.
On Friday morning, Washington County Sheriff detectives requested the assistance of the Indiana State Police in searching for Dodson. He was reported missing by a family member and was last seen on Saturday, Oct. 20th in Washington County.
During their search for Dodson, officers located and questioned 47-year-old Jerry Lee Carson Jr., of Vallonia, who was a friend of Dobson.
After speaking to Carson ISP detectives arrested him on charges of obstruction of justice and false informing. He is being held in the Washington County Jail currently on a $4,000 cash bond.
Officers then obtained a search warrant to search property located at 4031 Wheeler Hollow Road in Vallonia.
While searching the property, officers located a body in a duffel style bag stuffed under an abandoned mobile home.
The body was positively identified as Dodson by the Washington County Coroner's Office. An autopsy was performed on Sunday to determine a possible cause of death.
The Washington County Sheriff's Department, the Coroner's Office, and the Prosecutor's Office are assisting in the investigation.
