(ORLEANS) - Orleans Police Department would like to invite the public to attend their upcoming Annual Night Out event.
The event is Friday, Oct. 12th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on historic Congress Square in downtown Orleans.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
There will be lots of fun events and hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and drinks while supplies last.
You'll be able to meet members of Orange County Sheriff's office, Orleans Police Department officers, Indiana State Police K-9, ambulance personnel, Paoli and Orleans Fire Department personnel, Emergency Managment, REMC demonstrators, and others.
