(BEDFORD) - Remembering Dutchtown and the Old Lincoln School with a historical marker is the goal of a fundraising event featuring guest speaker - Astronaut Charlie Walker.

Walker is a former Lincoln alumnus and Dutchtown's most famous resident. Walker will speak about his boyhood growing up in Dutchtown and his association with both old and present Lincoln Elementary School. The Lincoln Elementary School choir will also present a program.

The goal is to raise enough money to place a historic marker denoting the history of Dutchtown and Lincoln School.
"An Evening with Charlie Walker" will be Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Lincoln Elementary gymnasium.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner, catered by Donna Brumbaugh, will be served beginning at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the fundraising event are $25 and are limited to 200.
Ticket are on sale at the Lawrence County Museum, Twelve Months of Christmas, Lincoln Elementary, the Bedford Chamber.
