(BEDFORD) - Three people were hurt in a crash at 15th and K streets on Friday morning.
According to a Bedford Police Department report, at 6:50 a.m., 39-year-old Thomas McNear Jr. of Bedford was traveling west in the right lane of 15th Street in his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado and told police that the light was green at the K Street intersection.
That is when a blue 2002 Ford Windstar, driven by 48-year-old Rebecca Turpin of Bedford, collided with his truck.
Turpin told police she was driving north on K Street and became distracted while talking to a passenger in her vehicle. She told police she didn't see the traffic light turn red.
McNear complained of chest pain. 47-year-old Teresa Clayton, a passenger in Turpin's vehicle, complained of abdominal pain. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Another passenger in Turpin's vehicle, 4-year-old Sebastian Turpin, suffered a face contusion but was not taken to a hospital.
