(EDINBURGH) - Authorities say a train collided with an SUV at a railroad crossing in central Indiana, killing two people and seriously injuring a third. All three were inside the vehicle.
The collision happened Monday at 1:47 p.m. on West County Road 900N at North County 250W, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.
Indiana State Police are involved in the investigation.
The county sheriff's department says the injured person was taken by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment. There is no update on their condition.
It wasn't immediately known why the vehicle was on the train tracks.
