(BLOOMINGTON) - Police are working to identify two serial vandals in Bloomington, one of whom has been spray-painting the word “Vain” on institutions around town.
Around 30 sightings of the "Vain" tag have been reported around town in the past several months, according to Sgt. Robert Skelton of the Bloomington Police Department.
The tag has appeared primarily around the west side of town and the downtown area, on structures like the Monroe County Historical Society, the parking lot of the Graduate Hotel, a parking garage, and the stone bears outside the Monroe County Public Library.
Police received a report Saturday morning that the Holiday Inn Express on South Franklin Road had received its own "Vain" tag.
Security footage taken from one of the parking garages shows two people that police believe are juveniles doing the vandalism. They are working to identify those suspects.
