(HURON) - Firefighters from two volunteer fire department battled a mobile home fire on Cauble Road Tuesday night.
Firefighters from Huron and Marion Township Volunteer Fire Departments were alerted to the blaze at 8:18 p.m.
Huron VFD Chief Bill Kinser says the mobile home was almost on the ground when firefighters arrived.
"The cause of the blaze is still under investigation and I will be back out there later today looking around," he added.
Firefighters believe the fire could have started near a wood stove.
This is not the first time firefighters have been to this location. There was a fire there two years ago.
"They had a mobile home then and lost it and then pulled in a second one," Kinser says.
Chief Kinser is attempting to locate the owner Terry Osborne, who was not home when the fire started.
"We have been unable to locate him," Chief Kinser added. "He needs to get a hold of me at the fire department."
It took 15 firefighters until 10:25 p.m. to get the fire under control.
Marion Chief Paul Gillespie says access to the fire was limited due to the narrow road and a wooden bridge to the residence.
Marion VFD responded with Engine 51 with 5 firefighters, Tanker 53 with 2 firefighters and
Squad 56 with 4 firefighters.
"There was also a vehicle that was partially involved in the fire."
Chief Gillespie says one bystander did suffer an injury to his hand but was treated by an AMR Medic 2 crew on the scene.
