(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is finalizing plans to spotlight some specialty type shops and their owners around town for the Orleans “Holiday After Hours” event on Friday, November 9th.
The event will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Businesses interested in participating and being open that evening for pre-holiday shopping and "Sneak Peak for Christmas" event contact Robert Henderson at town hall No LATER than 9 a.m. Monday.
The November Orleans Chamber "Breakfast Chat" will be Thursday, Nov. 8th at 8 a.m. at Sprigler's Deli. To reserve space please contact the Chamber office 812-865-9930 by Wednesday Noon.
Officials are also working on the Annual "Christmas on the Square" event set for Saturday, December 8th from 5 p.m. until to 7 p.m.
The fun family type events on the square include the 5th Annual Santa Hat Run, a live Nativity with animals, children's train ride, horse and carriage rides, refreshments, live entertainment and more.
Businesses and merchant members are encouraged to decorate their storefronts and display windows in holiday style and wherever possible to leave their window displays lit during the evening hours to help make the Dogwood Capital more festive during this Christmas Season.
