(SEYMOUR) - A 28-year-old Seymour man was arrested on Wednesday on an attempted murder charge after he fired multiple rounds at a woman and pointed the loaded gun at another man’s head.
Jose Leandro Buval was arrested after police received a 911 from a home in the 1700 block of West Second Street around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
When police arrived for the welfare check, Buval would not let them in without a warrant, but a woman told officers he had a gun.
Buval was arrested after police made a security sweep of the house.
The woman, who was in a relationship with Buval, told police Buval tried to kill her by firing a semiautomatic handgun at her.
Another man in the house told officers that Buval also held a gun to his head.
No one was injured during the incidents.
Police say Buval fired at least three rounds into the floor and the ceilings in the kitchen and living room. Buval was arrested on charges of attempted murder, criminal recklessness, pointing a loaded fireman and intimidation.
