(BEDFORD) - Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon at the intersection of State Road 37 and 29th Street.
According to a Bedford Police report, 79-year-old Jean Sims of Bedford had stopped her 1997 Oldsmobile in the turn lane of State Road 37 to turn east onto 29th Street.
At the same time, 61-year-old Cimaron Lee of Austin slowed her 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier on State Road 37 due to a red light and was in the turn lane in order to turn east onto 29th Street.
At the same time, 54-year-old Doris Hart of Bedford was traveling south on State Road 37 in the slow lane in a 2016 Ford Focus.
According to witnesses, Sims failed to put her brakes on and crossed into the passing lane, entering the turn lane, still not applying the brakes and colliding with Lee's Cavalier. The collision pushed Lee's Cavalier into Hart's Focus.
Sims complained of back and neck pain and was transported by an AMR ambulance to a local hospital for treatment
