(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested early this morning after a fight over a cell phone.
According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers were requested to the 2100 block of Norton Lane about a domestic fight in progress.
"When officers arrived they could hear yelling coming from the home," Chief Moore added. "Once inside, officers noticed a man had a victim pinned up against the wall."
Officers pulled 33-year-old Quintus Cooper off the victim.
The victim told police the two had been fighting over the use of a cell phone. She says Cooper had bit her wrist, then grabbed her around the neck while holding a knife.
"The victim yelled for help and Quintus dropped the knife once he knew the police were on the way," Chief Moore added.
Police arrested Cooper, of 2110 Norton Lane, on a charge of domestic battery.
