(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Sunday morning after police say he was threatening people with a BB gun that looked like an AR-15 assault rifle.
Police say a 17-year-old called police around 10 p.m. Saturday reporting when he pulled into a parking lot on Roll Avenue near Curry Pike to turn around a man on the second-floor apartment balcony yelled at him and pointed a rifle at him.
Three hours later police received a call from people attending a party at a business at the complex reporting a man came into the business with a rifle making threats.
Police responded and found 30-year-old Darnell Chapman had left. They found him a short time later at his apartment. Chapman was arrested on charges of intimidation and on an outstanding warrant in Hendricks County. Officers also confiscated the BB gun.
