(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Economic Growth Council (LCEGC) will gather community input Monday, December 17 and Tuesday, December 18 on the development of a county-wide strategic plan. Once completed, the plan will guide implementation grant proposals for the Regional Opportunities Initiative (ROI) Ready Communities program.
"This county-wide strategic plan focuses on three key areas: workforce development and attraction, improving attributes and amenities, and quality of place," Shance Sizemore, LCEGC CEO, said. "Community feedback will be part of the process throughout and these stakeholder input sessions are the first opportunity for that."
Ready Communities grants provide counties in South Central Indiana with needed resources to create actionable programs positively impacting the quality of place, workforce development, and attraction, and the attributes and amenities that make that community a desirable place to live, work and play.
To accommodate varying schedules, each session will be held at a different time of day.
On Monday, December 17, the session runs from 4 to 6 pm with light refreshments provided.
Tuesday, December 18's session runs from 8 to 10 am with light breakfast.
Both sessions will be located at LCEGC, 1116 16th Street in Bedford.
Attendees can RSVP for the session that fits their schedule best by visiting bit.ly/LawCoROI.
