(ODON) - Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect in a reported stolen vehicle Friday.
Deputies were informed by Vanderburgh County that a stolen black GMC Acadia was being driven by 34-year-old Mathew Fetsher.
Deputies were told 34-year-old Fetsher, of Evansville, was schizophrenic and had been confrontational with officers.
At 3:39 p.m. the car was spotted traveling east on State Road 58 toward Odon from the interstate. The vehicle then went north on County Road 550 East and East on County Road 1500 North before authorities caught up with it and On-Star disabled the car remotely.
Fetsher was charged with auto theft, resisting law enforcement, and reckless driving.
