(BLOOMINGTON) - Northern Monroe Fire Territory battled a house fire early Saturday.

The home did have working smoke detectors which allowed the homeowners to get out of the home safely before calling 911.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke pouring out of the house from near the chimney between the first and second floors.
Firefighters stopped the spread of the fire before entering the home.
As firefighters opened the front door they encountered heavy smoke conditions with nearly zero visibility, so firefighters had to use a thermal imaging camera to find the blaze. High-pressure fans were set up to help push the smoke out of the home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
It took less than an hour to control the fire, but crews remained on scene for several more hours checking for any hidden fires in the walls and helping the homeowner salvage some belongings.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported.
