(BEDFORD) - Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of State Road 37 and Fifth Street Saturday morning.
The accident was reported at 10:43 a.m.
According to a Bedford Police report, 34-year-old Lisa Brock, of Medora, was traveling south on State Road 37 at a high rate of speed in a 2015 Ford Edge and did not see a 2009 Dodge Challenger driven by 46-year-old Ricky Shimkus of Bloomington stopped and collided into the rear of the vehicle.
The collision pushed Shimkus' car into the rear of a 2002 Buick Century driven by 87-ear-old Carol Bane, of Springville.
Brock complained of chest pain and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Shimkus complained of head pain and Cheryl Shimkus, complained of back pain. Both were transported by a Bedford Police captain to a local hospital for treatment.
Bane was not injured and was transported home by an officer.
