(UNDATED) - Winter officially begins today at 5:23 p.m. and with the change of the season will come colder temperatures and snow.
The National Weather Service says temperatures will fall during the day and change to snow this afternoon.
Colder air will stick around for the weekend.
It will be dry Saturday and the light rain will change to snow as temperatures fall Sunday.
On Christmas Eve the precipitation should stop.
We could see a white Christmas, and depending on the exact track of the weather system we could see some snow accumulation. Temperatures will be around 30 degrees on Christmas Day.
