(UNDATED) - Governor Mitch Daniels has entered into a friendly wager with Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco.
The bet hinges on the outcome of tonight's Sugar Bowl matchup between the University of Notre Dame and Louisiana State University.
Daniels says he's confident the Fighting Irish will pull the game out, which would mean Governor Blanco would mail him food from New Orleans, including beignets, wine, pralines and coffee.
If LSU comes out on top, Daniels has offered up chocolates from the South Bend Chocolate Company and baked goods made in Indiana's Amish country. Daniels says it's the first such wager he's been asked to make as governor and says he's never been one to back down from a challenge.
