(DALLAS, TX) - Could the Pacers’ all-time leading scorer be coming out of retirement.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban brought up Reggie Miller's name before their game with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. The mavericks have an open spot on their roster after trading former pacer Anthony Johnson last week. Miller retired following the 2004-2005 season.
Mavericks head coach Avery Johnson told the Dallas Morning News that he and team President Donnie Nelson have discussed options for the open spot but are not close to any decisions. Miller currently is a broadcaster for TNT.
Miller is the NBA'S all-time leader in three-point baskets made for a career and joining the Mavs would give him a shot at the one think his career lacked - an NBA championship. Dallas owns the best record in the league at 48-and-9.
