(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University Football Coach Terry Hoeppner will miss spring practice for health reasons.
The university issued a statement Sunday night saying that Hoeppner needed the time off to attend to personal health matters and to regain his strength and energy following the recruiting season.
Hoeppner underwent surgery to remove a mass from his brain in December of 2005 and underwent a second operation on his brain last September.
Assistant Head Coach Bill Lynch will assume control of the program during Hoeppner's absence.
