(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Time is running out for the Indiana Pacers in their quest to make the NBA playoffs. The Pacers are back in action tonight as they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Indiana has lost 14 of its last 16 games to fall into ninth place in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The blue-and-gold trail seventh-place Orlando by a game and are a half-game behind eighth-place New Jersey.
The Cavaliers have the second-best record in the east at 42-and-28, but have struggled recently, losing three of their last four. Cleveland is led by Lebron James, who is fifth in the league in scoring at 27-point-three points per game.
Following tonight's game, the Pacers will go head-to-head with two of the teams they are battling for the playoffs. Indiana travels to New Jersey to face the Nets on Wednesday night and will play the magic in Orlando on Friday night.
