(ORLANDO, FL) - The Indiana Pacers will try to inch closer to a playoff berth tonight when they face the Magic in Orlando.
The Pacers enter the night in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, a game and-a-half behind the Magic for the eighth and final playoff spot. Indiana has dropped ten-straight road games with their latest setback coming Wednesday night in New Jersey. That win put the seventh-place nets two games ahead of the Pacers in the East.
The New York Knicks are also in the hunt for one of the final playoff spots. They enter tonight's action tied with the Pacers for ninth in the East.
The Pacers could be without their franchise forward again tonight in Orlando. Jermaine O'Neal missed Wednesday's loss in New Jersey with a sprained knee and a sprained ankle. The knee has been a problem for O'Neal for most of the season. The ankle injury is new after O'Neal stepped on another player's foot in Tuesday night's loss to Cleveland.
Center Jeff Foster is day-to-day with back spasms and forward Marquis Daniels is expected to miss tonight's game with tendonitis in his left knee. Daniels has missed the Pacers' last 14 games.
