(HOUSTON, TX) - The Indiana Pacers opened their two-game Texas road trip with an 86-76 loss in Houston.
Yao Ming led the rockets with 32 points while Tracy McGrady fell one rebound shy of a triple-double, finishing with 20 points, nine boards and ten assists.
Jermaine O'Neal lead the pacers with 25 points and nine rebounds with Jamaal Tinsley adding 22 points.
The Pacers have lost twelve of their last 13 games including eight in a row on the road.
The Pacers did get some help as both New Jersey and New York lost last night. The Pacers and Nets are tied with the idle Orlando Magic for seventh place in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks are in tenth place, a half-game behind those three.
The Texas trip winds up tonight in San Antonio as they take on the Spurs.
