(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - Jamaal Tinsley’s career night could not halt the Indiana Pacers’ losing streak as the Minnesota Timberwolves recorded an 86-81 win.
Kevin Garnett led Minnesota with 30 points and nine rebounds as the Timberwolves overcame a 14-point deficit in the third quarter.
Indiana led by nine entering the final period, but a scoreless drought of seven minutes and two seconds in the fourth gave Minnesota the win and the Pacers their tenth-straight defeat.
Randy Goye added 16 points for the Timberwolves, who are a game out of a playoff berth in the western conference. With the loss, the Pacers fall into a tie with New York for the eighth and final playoff spot in the east.
Indiana will try to stop the bleeding tonight when they face the Washington Wizards at Conseco Fieldhouse. The Wizards are third in the east, but enter this evening's contest riding a three-game skid.
