(UNDATED) - After losing to the Seymour Owls on Tuesday, BNL High School Head Basketball Coach Damon Bailey says he is leaving.
Bailey was hired two years ago and says he can't devote the time and energy the job really deserves. Bailey says he knew he wouldn't be at the school for an extended period of time while running his business and trying to spend time with his family.
As a high school standout, Bailey led the BNL Stars to a state championship in 1990. As couch, Bailey's record was 11 wins and 10 losses in his first season and his record this season was 12 wins and 9 losses.
A successor to Bailey is planned on to be named at a later date.
