(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue senior forward Katie Gearlds is a finalist for the Wade Award as the top player in women’s college basketball.
Gearlds was the MVP of the Big Ten tournament and is Purdue's leading scorer, averaging 18 points per game.
She is one of twelve finalists for the award, which will be announced on March 31st.
Purdue opens play in the NCAA's women's tournament Saturday when the Boilermakers face Oral Roberts.
