(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers will try to gain some ground in the Eastern Conference playoff chase tonight when they host the Detroit Pistons at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Pacers have lost 17 of their last 20 to fall out of the top eight in the East, but they are coming off a last-second win over San Antonio on Sunday.
Indiana enters tonight's game with a 32-and-41 record and trail eighth-place Orlando by a game and-a-half for the final playoff spot. The Magic are off tonight
Detroit comes into tonight's contest boasting the best record in the Eastern Conference at 47-and-26. The Pistons have a three and-a-half game advantage on Cleveland for the central division lead and the best record in the conference. Detroit has won two straight and four of their last five.
Tonight's game is the fourth and final meeting between the Pacers and Pistons this season. Indiana has won two of the first three.
Detroit has no significant injuries to report while the Pacers expect to be shorthanded. Forward Marquis Daniels is out with tendonitis in his left knee. Jermaine O'Neal missed Sunday's win over the Spurs with injuries to his left knee and ankle while Jeff Foster left Sunday's game early with back spasms. Both are listed as "day-to-day".
