(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers were eliminated from playoff contention Sunday as they lost to the New Jersey Nets 111-107 at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Vince Carter led the nets with 35 points and Bostjan Nachbar added 25 as New Jersey maintained its one-game lead over Orlando for seventh place in the East. The Magic beat Boston later on Sunday to clinch a playoff berth and knock the Pacers out of the playoffs for the first time in ten years.
Jermaine O'Neal led Indiana with 20 points with Danny Granger and Troy Murphy adding 17 points apiece.
The Pacers have two games remaining as they are in Atlanta on Tuesday before closing the season at home against Washington.
