(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts released four players on Monday, including linebacker Gilbert Gardner.
Gardner, a third round pick in 2004 out of Purdue, started twelve games at outside linebacker last season before being replaced by veteran Rob Morris.
Also released on Monday were linebackers Mike Labinjo and Brandon Hoyte and safety Trevis Voley.
The Colts did sign rookie free agent tight end Matt Farbotko out of Harvard.
