(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed wide receiver Aaron Moorehead.
Moorehead played in twelve games during the 2006 season, catching eight passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. The fifth-year receiver from the University of Illinois also played in all four of the Colts' postseason games, catching five passes for 41 yards.
Moorehead saw added playing time in 2006 due to injuries to wide receiver Brandon Stokley and tight end Dallas Clark. He will see some competition for playing time in training camp as the horseshoes drafted a pair of Ohio State receivers in last weekend's draft, taking Anthony Gonzalez in the first round and Roy Hall in round five.
The Colts also announced the signings of 15 rookie free agents who were not selected in last weekend's draft. Nine of the free agent signees play defense with four of them playing linebacker.
Among the free agent signees is linebacker Kamichael Hall of Georgia Tech. The six-foot, 219-pounder was a three-year starter for the yellow jackets and was rated by some draft analysts as a potential fifth-round pick.
