(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up a three-day mini-camp Sunday at the team’s Indianapolis headquarters.
Head Coach Tony Dungy spent much of the camp stressing that last year's Super Bowl season is over and that the team will need to cut down on mistakes and penalties if they are to successfully defend their championship.
The effort to repeat is already hampered by the loss of several key players to free agency during the offseason. Last year's starters at cornerback, Nick Harper and Jason David, are gone. The colts think that Marlin Jackson and Kelvin Hayden are ready to make an impact on the starting lineup.
More problematic is the weak side linebacker spot where second-year man Freddie Keiaho will try to replace former pro-bowler Cato June.
The Colts are also trying to find someone to share backfield duties with Joseph Addai. Addai combined with Dominic Rhodes to provide potent one-two punch last year. Rhodes has since signed with the Oakland Raiders.
