(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Jjosh Banks fired a complete-game five-hitter as the Syracuse Chiefs edged the Indianapolis Indians 2-1.
John-Ford Griffin and John Hattig drove in the Syracuse runs with RBI singles as Banks improves to 4-and-0.
Sean Burnett was the tough-luck loser for Indianapolis, falling to 3-and-3 after allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings.
It was the Chiefs' first win in the four-game series, which concludes this morning at Victory Field.
