(SECAUCUS, NJ) - Barring a trade, the Indiana Pacers won’t start rebuilding the franchise through next month’s NBA draft.
The Pacers failed to improve their draft position, getting the eleventh overall pick in Tuesday night's draft lottery.
The pick now goes to the Atlanta Hawks as part of the trade that sent Al Harrington to Indiana last summer.
The blue-and-gold would have kept the pick had it been in the top ten.
The Pacers also traded their second-round pick on draft night last year in order to move up and take James White.
The Portland Trailblazers will pick first on June 28th.
